Welcoming a new baby into the world is such a special time and sometimes the idea of leaving the house in those early days can feel overwhelming. That’s why I offer relaxed in-home newborn sessions, allowing you to capture these precious moments in the comfort of your own home. The session includes 15 hand edited digital images. These sessions are perfect for families who would prefer a natural, documentary style approach. In-home sessions focus on capturing your baby in natural light just as they are, surrounded by the familiar spaces and people they love most. Siblings very much welcome too. How Booking Works? Please choose the closest day I have to your due date on the booking system and let me know on the form your due date. Because babies rarely arrive exactly on their due date, I work slightly differently when scheduling newborn sessions. I reserve your due date in my diary rather than a fixed session date. I only take a limited number of newborn bookings each month so I can keep my schedule flexible. Once your baby arrives, simply get in touch within the first couple of days and we will arrange your session date usually within the following 1–2 weeks, depending on how you and baby are doing. If baby is already here, please book for a date and time that suits you. A Calm, Baby-Led Experience My newborn sessions are always completely baby-led, meaning we gently follow your baby’s pace throughout the session. There’s no rushing and no pressure plenty of time is allowed for feeding, cuddles, settling and breaks whenever needed. When Should I Book? The best time to book your newborn session is during pregnancy to make sure I can get your date in. Newborn sessions are ideally photographed within the 5–20 days after birth, when babies are often naturally sleepy and curled. However, please don’t worry if things don’t go exactly to plan I’m always happy to photograph slightly older newborns too and sessions are gently adapted to suit your baby’s stage. How Long Does The Session Takes? I usually say approximately one hour but I will always leave plenty of buffer time as we go at your family's pace. Galleries are delivered within 3 weeks of the shoot. There is an option to purchase more images or upgrade to full gallery after the shoot.
